TechNest workspace in northern Gaza

International student campaign · in preparation

The semester has started. Their opportunity to study shouldn't have to wait.

For university students in northern Gaza, finding a suitable place to attend online lectures, prepare for exams, and complete assignments remains a serious challenge. TechNest is working to make structured study access available to 30 students this month as the campaign's initial target.

The reality behind one study hour

Studying now means more than opening a book.

It can mean finding electricity, connecting to a lecture, and having enough uninterrupted time to finish an assignment. Power interruptions, unreliable connectivity, and unsuitable study conditions disrupt academic continuity.

Work and learning environment inside TechNest

An existing local answer

We're not starting from zero.

TechNest already provides a local space for learning, work, and professional development in northern Gaza. Support enables students to use existing infrastructure rather than funding a new facility.

  • Structured workspace access
  • Available electricity infrastructure
  • Internet access when operational
  • Academic and project follow-up
  • Mentorship and a technology community

A specific, traceable plan

One month. Thirty students. A clear plan.

We translate the need into hours that can be recorded, reviewed, and reported without presenting delivery figures before they are verified.

30×4×24=2,880students × daily hours × study days = planned hours
Initial fundraising target$5,000
Direct study-hour cost$4,320
Transfer fees & emergency reserve$680

$680 covers transfer fees and contingencies. Any unused amount funds additional student hours or students; any residual balance remains restricted to the campaign and appears in the financial report.

Questions supporters ask

Clear answers before you contribute.

01What does my contribution support?

Planned access to TechNest workspace, internet when operational, available electricity infrastructure, and follow-up. The direct calculated cost is $1.50 per hour before fees.

02How much does it cost to sponsor one student?

The planned direct cost is $144 for 96 hours in one month: four hours per day across 24 study days. Actual delivery will be reported against net funds and available capacity.

03Can I contribute less than $144?

Yes. Any positive amount can help. The calculator shows a direct-hour equivalent before fees, not a guarantee that hours are delivered automatically.

04Why is the target $5,000 if study-hour costs total $4,320?

$4,320 is the direct cost of 2,880 planned hours. The remaining $680 is allocated to transfer fees and an emergency reserve. Any amount not needed for fees or emergencies will fund additional student hours or students; any residual balance remains restricted to the campaign and is reported.

05How will TechNest document and report the use of funds?

TechNest plans to separate pledges, receipts, net funds, allocation, and spending, then connect delivery to attendance records and dated aggregate reports.

06How are students selected?

Selection starts with a university student or recent graduate who has a defined learning goal, a documented need for electricity, connectivity, or a study place, can reach the space, and can commit to attendance. Priority considers financial need, near academic deadlines, and fair distribution, with documented decisions and protected personal data.

07How do I contribute through the TRON wallet?

Copy the address shown in the contribution section and use the TRON (TRC20) network.

08Can an organization sponsor multiple students?

Yes. Group sponsorship can be agreed through a defined scope, cost, and reporting method before collection.

09Is the GoFundMe campaign live?

No. The GoFundMe route is separate and still in preparation. Its proposed $10,000 goal is not combined with this page's initial $5,000 target, and it is not presented as an available payment channel.

10Are contributions tax-deductible?

TechNest does not currently make a tax-deductibility claim. Supporters should confirm their own legal and tax position before contributing.

11What happens if the campaign raises more or less than its goal?

A documented allocation decision will be published before using any surplus, and delivery scope will be adjusted if funding is lower. Outcomes are not assumed before policy approval.
